ACCIONA promotes public-private alliances between the UN and business at the Davos summit

On the first anniversary of the Global Compact LEAD, a platform set up by the United Nations Global Compact aimed at leading the way in corporate sustainability, the initiative's member companies, ACCIONA among them, met with UN Secretary Ban-Ki-moon during the World Economic Forum in Davos, to discuss ways of encouraging and enhancing public-private partnerships, in an effort to make progress in the UN's Millennium Objectives.

With a capacity of 16 megawatts, 'El Chaparro' will produce electricity equivalent to the consumption of around 12,000 homes.
The new wind park, located in Guadalajara province (central Spain), takes the wind power capacity owned by the company in the region of Castilla-La Mancha to 560 MW.
